CCTV appeal following theft in Yorkshire bank, Birkenhead

We have issued a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak to following a theft in Birkenhead.

At around 3pm on Thursday, 18 April, a woman in her 70’s had her purse, containing cash and personal documents, stolen from her hand by a man whilst in Yorkshire Bank, Princes Pavement.

The victim managed to follow the offender before he made off in the direction of the bus station. The victim was not injured but left extremely shaken by the incident.

Officers believe the male pictured may have vital information to assist our investigation and would ask him, or anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.
